Pat Cummins could become the second-youngest player to represent Australia in a Test match after making the squad to face South Africa.

The 18-year-old fast bowler has already taken his international bow in two Twenty20 matches against the Proteas, finishing with figures of 3-25 and 2-26.
The New South Wales starlet could now get a run out in the Test team after being up called to the 15-man travelling party in place of James Pattinson.
Cummins will stay with the squad for the entire tour, which encompasses three one-day internationals and three Test matches.

Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said: "The squad has a very good balance of experience and exciting young talent. While playing South Africa on their home soil is one of the hardest assignments in world cricket, it will be a very exciting challenge for this new-look Test side after it played excellent cricket to win the Sri Lankan series last month.
"James is very unlucky to miss selection. He is a very good young fast bowler who has done well in his limited opportunities at international level to date."

Australian Test squad: Michael Clarke (capt), Shane Watson (vice-capt), Michael Beer, Trent Copeland, Patrick Cummins, Brad Haddin (wkt), Ryan Harris, Phil Hughes, Mike Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Shaun Marsh, Ricky Ponting, Peter Siddle
