Kiwis reeling

New Zealand are staring at a heavy defeat in the second Test with Pakistan after slipping to 70-3 in the second innings in Wellington.

Pakistan led by 229 runs at stumps the second day, after dismissing the Kiwis for just 99 in their first innings and moving to 64-2.
Mohammad Yousuf was the star on day three for the tourists, holding the innings together with a patient 83, while Umar Akmal hit a rapid 52 with six fours and two sixes.

Misbah-ul-Haq compiled 33 and it was a good job that four of the top five made decent scores as the bottom six scored just 13 runs between them as the tourists were eventually dismissed for 239 second time around.
The New Zealand bowlers stuck to their task well, with Chris Martin finishing with 4-52 and Iain O'Brian 4-66 but a victory target of 405 looked daunting following the home side's first-innings debacle.
And things did not improve significantly in the second innings, as Mohammad Asif picked up where he left off taking three quick wickets to leave Brendon McCullum's men reeling at 70-3 with two days still to go and a further 335 runs needed for victory.
