Freddie could have played at Leeds

Andrew Flintoff's agent claims the all-rounder was fit enough to play in the fourth Ashes Test at Headingley last week.

The 31-year-old star missed England's humiliating innings-and-80-run defeat o Australia in Leeds with the knee injury that has been bothering him all summer.
Skipper Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower made the decision after discussions with the medical team and Flintoff himself, with the Lancastrian now hoping to prove his fitness for the fifth and final match of the series at the Oval.
But Flintoff's representative, Andrew Chandler, says his client declared himself fit for the fourth Test and was devastated not to be selected by the England management team.
"I've never seen anybody as low as Flintoff was on Thursday night when he was told he would not be selected," he told The Times.

"He told them that he was fit enough to get through, that he felt no different to how he felt at Edgbaston and that he could get through and do his bit but they didn't want him.
"He was prepared to do whatever it takes, was prepared to put whatever needed to be put into his knee."
And Chandler feels that assessing how a player reacts following a net session does not give a realistic vision of how it would react in a match situation.
"What they didn't take into account during Thursday's practice was that there was no adrenalin," he added. "That was why he looked as though he was struggling so much and why he became so much worse on the final day at Edgbaston, when it was clear the game could not be won.
"He was hurting at Lord's but the adrenalin got him through. It would have got him through this week as well."
